Nagoya.

Japan From Japan on February 3, 2009

I spent in Nagoya seven days and it was really fun time. My friend lived in Nagoya University Campus, in nice dormitory runned by energetic old man whom I called General. It was time of holidays for students and campus was quite deserted. It was a very good moment because I stayed in my friend's room quite illegaly. It was very nasty from our side but I did not mean anything bad, just was too poor to pay for hostel in these days. So we had to enter to my friends room using fire stairs and going through bushes. Let;s say it was kind of adventure after all. Many spiders lived in bushes so my friend was rather destressed all the time we had to go there. Japanese spiders are big and may be scary for sensitive young ladies. \i was rather desperate to take a shower and have safe place to sleep, so spiders could not stop me, same like General.

Nagoya is nice and looks like typical Japanese town. But as I heard, it is much hotter than other towns. This week in Nagoya passed so fast and so many things to go and see. Many of them I do not remember now. Simply I have impression of happiness and fun which i felt. For sure we went to see Nagoya castle, which looks very impressive from outside but inside is rather far from original look.Instead of old rooms there is a castle museum. As i remember I ate cold noodles in small diner near cstle. Noodles served with ice are typical Nagoya dish. It was pretty tasty. I have seen few buddhist teples, surrounded by gardens. I rememberred especially two. In one I could see giant statue of Buddha with open hands..one hand was laying on the ground so I could not resist to sit inside.Temple inside of this garden was small and misterious looking. We had a habit to walk around many places in town to see places which my friend liked hrself and wanted to show me. I really enjoyed big aquarium and lots of small restaurants with good food. It was fun, same like shopping in 100 yen shops. What is best..I had a chance to vist Kyoto too. Twice...
