My guest house in small village was one of the best places I stayed in Japan.

It was a very simple place, but very cosy and owner lady was so kind and good person. We could not talk much because of my limited Japanese language skills, but she cared for my needs and tried to do all to make my stay pleasant. I could freely use my guest house, as it was separated from main house of my hosts. So I cooked my meal by myself, I wash plate and put all back to small kitchen cupboard.

Japanese keep things clean and I tidy. I found lots of thick futons in one corner of house, so I made my bed from two futons and I took one more to covers myself. Typical Japanese pillow is harder and smaller than European, but surprisingly comfortable. It was such a great feeling...like I had all house just for myself and I could enjoy sleep on futon. I forgot to mention that floor of my house was covered by tatami, so I put futons directly on them, in corner.

After stay in Osaka hostel, I could appreciate peaceful and quiet night, so deeply dark. From my room windows I could see just few lights down in the village, as my house was located on the top of hill, village was in valley. I had such a good sleep.

Next morning nature gave me a great present. I could enjoy view of mountains in morning mists. Later I was told I was lucky, because it is not too often that fogg appears. So I was lucky indeed. It would be nice to stay in this place longer, but I had to go. Day was sunny and warm. I paid for my night stay and say good bye to ryokan owner. I went also to say good buy to cafeteria owner. It was her who helped me find this lovely ryokan. We drunk coffee together and I start another day of my journey.
